Hayden Moto-x Day 3

Today was Hayden's 3rd day on his new bike. Today him and Dad had to build some jumps on his track. Scroll down to see the video of today's riding.

Hayden's PW50

Santa brought Hayden a PW50 this year for Christmas. He was really excited about it. Here he is sitting on it for the first time. He looks comfortable already!

Hayden's first ride was in the driveway at night when we came home from running errands. I don't know who wanted him to ride more, Dad or Hayden!
All dressed in his gear for the first time before the real first ride. He looked so cute with his motocross boots, chest protector the whole nine yards.

Here's a video of his first ride around the track that Dad made for Hayden. Poor Dad was just sweating chasing Hayden around here. What a great guy. Hayden did so good, to think this was his first day riding! Crazy! Not even 3 yet, this just blows me away.

Our Holiday

Well we were able to finally plan a week away. Unfortunately our little man got quite sick and our trip got cut really short. He's okay now and we actually ended up having a really great week. We did some day trips and just hung out at home. Here's a bit of what we did.

Deception Pass- So Beautiful. We will definately go back there next year for more than a day.

When Hayden started to feel better we took a bike ride along the river. We threw rocks in the water for about an hour! Agassiz did some swimming, we had a great time.

We visited the Corn Maize in Chilliwack. What fun! Hayden had a great time. He almost ran through the entire thing! That's actually quite far. We finished the maze in the dark.

We rented a canoe down in Deep Cove. We paddled over to a popular hang out for the locals. We got really close and they didn't seem to mind too much. They are so cute!







Hayden had his first skating lesson on Saturday. It didn't go that well. Here are some pictures were he isn't crying. We're going to keep practicing. In no time he'll be skating laps around us!

Hayden's New Bike

It's no surprise to anyone in our family that Hayden has already worn out his first bike. We decided this weekend that it was time to replace it with something newer and bigger. We went to this great bike shop in Langley and found a cool little 12 inch TREK. We've already had it at the BMX track and he was flyin! We also had ordered him a chest protector so he has to wear that now when ever he rides his bike. It's still hard to believe when you watch him ride that he's only just 2 1/2. Crazy!

Here's just a taste of how fast Hayden was going today @ the track. Notice that Desi is running as fast as he can to catch up with him!

Hayden's First Bike Ride

Hayden did an amazing thing a week ago, he rode his bike without training wheels! We took a couple of short videos the first and second day and sent them to Uncle Kevin and he spliced it together with the phone message that Desi left him. Enjoy!
p.s. If you look closely when my dad waves at the neighbour driving by Hayden copies him and waves also.It says it all.

August

This summer has been full of all sorts of fun. Play dates, PNE, Skate park, swimming, it's just endless. We've had loads of fun together. Here is a little preview of August. Enjoy!

Hayden has gotten really good at riding his bike this year. We've been taking him to the skate park to ride. We had Uncle Kevin out for the weekend so we took him to the park with us. He showed Hayden some of his Skateboardin moves so Hayden thought he'd give it a try.

Des took Hayden up to Whistler to visit Uncle Kevin. They had a blast! They rode the skate park and dirt track, they cruised for chicks and they went for dinner in the village! They had a great time. Hayden can't wait to go back.











And of course no summer is complete without a trip to the Fair at the PNE. Hayden is a ride junkie! He loved everything. We saw a few shows, SuperDogs, Wheels of Steel freestyle motocross, and the Toontastic Parade. They had all of Hayden's faves. It was a great day, we were all pretty pooped come 8:00pm!
